The blade also has easy-to-read bold lines marked every 1/8-inch, and is protected by a tough and durable nylon-coating that extends its life. Additionally, the retraction speed brake controls blade speed and prevents fingers from touching the blade, enhancing safety. The impact-resistant housing, over-molded with a soft touch finish, provides an excellent grip and can withstand jobsite demands. The tape measure also includes a convenient single hook for easy attachment to studs, conduit, pipes, and other objects, as well as a metal belt-clip and tether hole for secure storage or use at height.
